Runway alternative

The Runway alternative built for agencies.

Get Runway Gen-4.5 — plus Veo 3.1, Sora 2 Pro, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2, and more — in one guided workflow. Every model included on every paid plan, full-speed credits, flat per-plan pricing from $39/mo. No per-seat math, no top-tier model lock.

Every model, every plan

All 13 video models — including Runway Gen-4.5, Veo 3.1, Sora 2 Pro, the Kling 3.0 family, Seedance 2, and Wan 2.7 — are included on every paid plan. No model gated to the top tier.

Full-speed credits, shown upfront

Each model's credit cost is displayed before you generate, and every credit renders at full speed — instead of one shared pool drained by every tool.

Built for agencies

Per-client brand workspaces and a guided 5-step workflow built for teams producing brand-safe video at scale — not a general-purpose creative canvas.

Flat, honest pricing

Flat per-plan pricing from $39/mo — not per-seat. Commercial use included on every paid plan, cancel anytime.

  1. 1 Per runwayml.com/pricing (June 2026), Runway uses a single shared monthly credit pool that all models and tools draw from. ScriptMotion includes every model on every paid plan with credits that render at full speed.
  2. 2 Runway gates "first access to newest models" and one-month credit rollover to its top Max tier. ScriptMotion gives every model and full credit value on every paid plan.
  3. 3 Runway's paid plans are priced per user/seat ($15 / $35 / $95 monthly). ScriptMotion's plans ($39 / $129 / $349) are flat per plan.
  4. 4 Both remove watermarks on paid plans — Runway's free tier outputs are watermarked; paid tiers are not. Shown for completeness, not as a difference.
  5. 5 Both platforms are multi-model. Runway's own pages list its Gen family plus select third-party models (e.g. Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0). The model rosters differ and change over time; we make no "more models" claim.
  6. 6 Runway offers pro control surfaces (keyframes, video-to-video, Act-Two). ScriptMotion adds a guided, opinionated 5-step workflow (Format, Character & Product, Background, Script, Audio) built for repeatable brand work.
  7. 7 Runway positions broadly (creative tool, enterprise, developer/API). We found no public evidence of agency-style per-client brand workspaces on its standard plans. ScriptMotion isolates each client brand.

Built around how agencies actually operate.

Runway is a superb general-purpose creative suite. ScriptMotion is a narrower thing on purpose: a system for running many clients’ brand video through one repeatable pipeline. Both platforms are multi-model, so this isn’t a “more models” pitch — Runway Gen-4.5 is even one of the engines ScriptMotion routes to. The real difference is the operating model built on top of the models.

It begins with isolation. Every client lives in its own brand workspace under a single account, so one login carries many brands without their assets, palettes, or voice ever mixing. Each brand holds a full brand kit — logo, color palette and roles, fonts, voice guidelines, tone guidelines, art direction, motion style, and forbidden terms — and that kit is applied to every generation automatically. You set a client’s identity once and the system keeps enforcing it, video after video.

Standing up a new client doesn’t start from scratch. Import up to three of their existing videos and ScriptMotion learns the style, deriving it into the brand kit — so art direction and motion carry over from work that already shipped instead of being rebuilt prompt by prompt. From there the guided 5-step workflow (Format & Layout, Character & Product, Background & Environment, Concept & Script, Audio) turns brand-safe production into a path any teammate can follow, rather than an open canvas that depends on one person’s craft.

The economics stay predictable too. Every model’s credit cost is shown before you generate — instead of a single shared pool every tool quietly draws down — and every export conforms to platform-optimized specs for TikTok, Instagram Reels and Stories, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook (9:16, 4:5, and more). For a studio shipping client work on a schedule, that predictability is the whole point.

When Runway is the better pick.

We’d rather concede where Runway genuinely leads than pretend otherwise. For pro-grade, shot-level craft and hands-on video editing, Runway is excellent — and for some work it’s the better tool.

  • In-context video editing. Runway Aleph is a state-of-the-art in-context model that can add, remove, and transform objects, restyle, and re-light existing footage (runwayml.com/research/introducing-runway-aleph, accessed 2026-07-10). If your work is transforming source video rather than generating from a brief, that’s a real edge.
  • Per-second cost on its own engine. Runway prices its own models by the second — Gen-4.5 runs 60 credits per 5 seconds, with Standard starting at $12/mo billed annually (runwayml.com/pricing, accessed 2026-07-10). On its own engine, at volume, Runway can be cheaper per second — we don’t claim to beat it there.

That’s not where we compete. We’re not the cheapest per second, and we’re not a general creative suite. If your job is producing repeatable, on-brand video across many clients — isolated, consistent, and predictable to bill — the operating model still favors ScriptMotion.

Frequently asked questions

Moving from Runway takes three steps.

There’s no project to export and rebuild. Because ScriptMotion is organized around reusable brand systems, migrating a client mostly means setting that client up once — after which every future video inherits the setup automatically.

  1. 1

Create the brand and upload its assets.

Add a brand workspace for the client and upload its core assets — logo and colors — to the asset library. Each brand stays isolated from every other client on the account.

  2. 2

    Build the brand kit.

Fill in the color palette and roles, fonts, tone and voice guidelines, and art direction. To shortcut it, import up to three reference videos and let ScriptMotion learn the style into the kit.

  3. 3

    Generate in the 5-step workflow.

Run the guided 5-step workflow — Format & Layout, Character & Product, Background & Environment, Concept & Script, Audio — and export platform-optimized cuts. The brand kit applies on every generation, so the tenth video is as on-brand as the first.
