Step 1: Format & Layout
Choose a layout style (and AI model), aspect ratio, resolution, and duration.
What is the Format & Layout step?
The Format & Layout step is where every video begins. You'll pick a layout style, choose an aspect ratio, set a duration, and configure resolution. Each layout (except Custom) is paired with a dedicated AI model — so format options are automatically constrained to what that model supports. The Custom layout flips this around: you pick the AI model directly and tune format to its capabilities.
- Hyper-Realistic
- Photorealistic video with cinematic realism, natural lighting, and filmic detail. Powered by Seedance 2. Beta members unlock this layout after completing 3 videos (tier 2).
- Selfie-Camera
- Front-facing selfie-style camera with an authentic POV perspective. Powered by Sora 2 Pro.
- Product Marketing
- Product-focused marketing visuals with professional presentation. Powered by Kling 3.0 Omni Pro.
- Multi-Shot
- A combination of multiple shots in a single video — a storyboard of up to several scenes. Powered by Kling 3.0 Omni Pro.
- Custom
- Pick the AI video model yourself from the full 12-model catalog and tune format to its capabilities.
- Aspect Ratio
- The shape of your video frame: 9:16 (vertical) for TikTok/Reels/Shorts, 16:9 (horizontal) for YouTube/LinkedIn, 1:1 (square), or 4:5 (portrait). Available ratios depend on the selected model.
- Duration
- Your desired video length in seconds. Available durations depend on the model — e.g. Sora 2 Pro supports 4/8/12s, while the Kling 3.0 and Seedance families support flexible ranges up to 15s.
- Resolution
- Video quality: 720p (HD), 1080p (Full HD), or 4K (Ultra HD). 4K is available on Veo 3.1 and Kling 3.0 Pro / Omni Pro, and requires the Growth plan or above.
Configuring Format & Layout

Pick a layout style
Choose Hyper-Realistic, Selfie-Camera, Product Marketing, Multi-Shot, or Custom. Each layout tile shows a sample video preview.

Pick a model (Custom only)
If you chose Custom, select one of the 12 available AI models. Premium models show a Beta badge while locked.

Choose aspect ratio
Select from the ratios the model supports. Unsupported ratios are automatically disabled.

Set resolution
Choose 720p, 1080p, or 4K. Options are constrained to what the model supports — and 4K requires the Growth plan or above.

Set duration
Use the duration control to set your target length. Available stops depend on the model's capabilities.
Tip
Start with the platform you're targeting: 9:16 for TikTok/Reels/Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube/LinkedIn. The layout choice then determines visual style and model.

Each layout locks format options to its model's capabilities. Custom lets you pick the model directly.

During the beta, the premium models (Seedance 2, Seedance 2 Fast, Veo 3.1 Fast, and Veo 3.1) — including the Hyper-Realistic layout — unlock after you complete 3 successful video generations.
