Billing & Credits

Billing Overview

How billing works in ScriptMotion — what a plan buys, how credits are spent, and who pays.

ScriptMotion bills in two parts. A plan rents you the workspace: the client brands you can run, the seats your team logs in with, and the client-approval flow. Each plan also bundles a monthly grant of credits, which are the currency every generation is billed in. When a busy month outruns the grant, you buy more credits as a one-off top-up pack — no plan change required.

The three things you are paying for

Key terms

Plan subscription

A monthly or annual subscription that sets your brand and seat limits, unlocks the client-approval flow, and grants credits at the start of each billing period. Annual billing is discounted and grants the full year of credits up front.

Credits

The generation currency. Each AI model burns credits at its own rate per second of video, so the cost of a generation is that rate multiplied by the clip's duration. Image generation has a flat per-image cost instead.

Top-up packs

One-off credit purchases for when you need more than your plan grants. Top-up credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are spent after your monthly grant runs out.

Billing is organisation-scoped. One subscription covers every brand and every team member in your organisation, and the credit balance is shared across all of them.

Before you can generate

A free account carries no credit grant, so the first generation needs either a plan subscription or a top-up pack. Your current balance is always in the header credit meter, and the exact cost of the generation you have configured is shown on the Generate button before you commit to it.
