What Are Credits?

Credits are scriptmotion's generation currency. Every AI video generation or image generation consumes credits. The cost depends on which AI model is used, the resolution, and the video duration.

Where Credits Come From

  • Subscription allocation — refreshed monthly based on your plan tier
  • Top-up packs — one-time purchases, valid for 12 months from purchase
  • Beta grants — free credits during the beta (650 on entry, +500 on tier advancement; each grant valid 14 days)

How Credits Are Consumed

Each AI model has a burn rate in credits per second at a given resolution. The total cost is simply: burn rate × video duration in seconds. The exact cost is displayed on the Generate button before you commit, and credits are only deducted when the generation completes — failed generations don't consume credits.

Model (resolution)Burn Rate10s Video
Wan 2.7 (720p)4 credits/s40 credits
Sora 2 Standard (720p)6 credits/s60 credits
Seedance 2 Fast (720p)10 credits/s100 credits
Kling 3.0 Omni Pro (1080p)20 credits/s200 credits
Sora 2 Pro (1080p)24 credits/s240 credits
Veo 3.1 (4K)65 credits/s650 credits

A representative sample — see Credit Costs by Model for the full table. 4K resolution requires the Growth plan or above.

Credit Consumption Order

When you generate a video, credits are consumed in this order: (1) subscription credits first, (2) then top-up credits in FIFO order (oldest purchased first).

Warning

Credits are checked before generation starts. If your balance is insufficient, the generation will be blocked. Make sure to check your balance in the header credit meter.
