AI Video Generation Overview
How ScriptMotion turns a completed workflow into a finished video.
ScriptMotion generates video through several AI models rather than one. When you click Generate, the platform assembles a prompt from everything you configured in the workflow — format, characters and products, scenes and references, script, and audio — and sends it to the model assigned to your video.
What happens after you click Generate
Your configuration becomes a prompt
Each workflow step contributes to a structured prompt: scene description, visual style, character and product references, and audio direction. You do not write the prompt yourself.
The job is queued
Generation runs asynchronously, so you can keep working, navigate away, or close the tab. Nothing is lost.
Progress appears in the Generations Rail
The rail on the right of the editor shows live progress, and the finished video lands there when it is ready. Click any past generation to play it.
The exact credit cost of the generation you have configured is shown on the Generate button before you commit, and credits are only deducted when a generation completes. A failed generation costs nothing, so retrying is always safe.
