Model Routing

How ScriptMotion decides which AI model generates your video.

Routing is deliberately simple and predictable: the layout you pick in Step 1 determines the model, and if you pick Custom, you determine it yourself.

Fixed layouts are locked to a model

Hyper-Realistic always generates on Seedance 2. Product Marketing and Multi-Shot both generate on Kling 3.0 Omni Pro. These pairings are fixed rather than suggested, because each layout's prompt construction is tuned for the model behind it — the same script sent to a different model would not produce the style the layout promises.

Custom hands you the choice

The Custom layout lets you select any model in the catalogue, and your choice is always honoured.

Once a model is selected, the format options in Step 1 — aspect ratio, resolution, and duration — are constrained to what that model actually accepts. Options that would be rejected by the provider are not offered, so a configuration you can build is a configuration that can run.

If your chosen model is unavailable, you are told — you are never silently re-routed to a different one. A model swap would change the look of the finished video, so the choice stays yours: wait and retry, or pick another model deliberately.
