Understanding the Admin, Creator, Reviewer, and Client roles.

Roles & Permissions

scriptmotion has one set of roles: Admin, Creator, Reviewer, and Client. A role is assigned per brand, so the same person can be a Creator on one brand and a Reviewer on another.

  • Admin — manages members, brands, and settings across the workspace.
  • Creator — creates and edits campaigns, assets, and video generations.
  • Reviewer — reviews and comments on work, but does not generate video.
  • Client — external stakeholder who can view, comment, and approve.

Admin reaches further than the brand it was granted on. Because your workspace-level permissions are read from your brand memberships, making someone an Admin of a single brand makes them an admin of the whole workspace — including its other brands, its members, and its settings. Grant it deliberately.

Everyone who is a member of a brand can view its work and leave comments, whatever their role. What the roles separate is who can change things: Creators and Admins can create, edit, and generate video; Reviewers and Clients cannot. Only Admins can manage members, brands, and settings.
