A
- Aspect Ratio
- The proportional relationship between a video's width and height. Common ratios: 9:16 (vertical), 16:9 (horizontal), 1:1 (square), 4:5 (portrait).
- Character
- An AI-generated on-screen presenter. Characters can be selected from the global library, brand library, or custom-generated.
B
- Beta Tier
- Beta membership level. Tier 1 is the entry tier (650-credit grant); tier 2 unlocks after 3 completed generations (+500 credits) and enables the premium models (Veo 3.1 Fast/Std, Seedance 2/2 Fast).
- Brand Kit
- A collection of brand identity settings (colors, logo, font names, voice guidelines) stored per brand workspace. Used by the workflow builder to maintain brand consistency.
- Brand Workspace
- An isolated workspace for a specific client/brand within your organization. Contains campaigns, assets, team members, and settings.
- Brand Voice
- Free-text guidelines describing the brand's tone, personality, and communication style. Used by AI for script generation.
- Burn Rate
- The credits-per-second cost of an AI model at a given resolution. Total generation cost = burn rate × video duration.
C
- Campaign
- A group of related videos for a specific marketing initiative. Belongs to a brand workspace.
- Circuit Breaker
- A resilience pattern that temporarily takes a repeatedly-failing AI model out of rotation so errors surface quickly. Your model choice is never silently swapped.
- Credit
- The unit of currency for AI generation in scriptmotion. Consumed when generating videos, characters, or backgrounds.
- Custom Layout
- The layout style where you pick the AI video model directly from the 12-model catalog and tune format to its capabilities.

- Delivery Style
- The tone and energy of voice narration: Conversational, Energetic, Calm, Authoritative, or Whispery.
- Duration Target
- The desired video length in seconds, set in workflow Step 1 (Format & Layout).
- Download
- Saving your generated video as an MP4 file for use on any platform.
- Easy Mode
- The single-card editor view: script area, format pills, 'Add to your scene' tiles, music, and Generate — all in one place. Switchable with Pro mode at any time.

- Generation Job
- A background task for AI video generation. Tracked live in the Generations Rail of the workflow editor.
- Generations Rail
- The floating panel on the right side of the video editor listing every completed generation for the video, with live progress while one is running. Click an entry to play or download it.
- Layout Style
- The visual style of your video: Hyper-Realistic (Seedance 2), Selfie-Camera (Sora 2 Pro), Product Marketing and Multi-Shot (Kling 3.0 Omni Pro), or Custom (you pick the model).

- Model Routing
- scriptmotion's system for assigning AI models to videos. Each standard layout is locked to a dedicated model; the Custom layout honors your direct model pick. Choices are never silently swapped.
- Organization
- The top-level entity representing your agency. Billing and subscriptions are managed at this level.
P-R
- Pacing
- Speaking speed for voice narration: Slow, Normal, or Fast.
- Plan Tier
- Subscription level: Free, Starter, Growth, Agency, or Enterprise. Each tier includes different credit allocations; 4K resolution requires Growth or above.
- Pro Mode
- The full 5-step editor view with a stepper in the top bar: Format, Cast, Scene, Script, Audio. Switchable with Easy mode at any time.
- Product Library
- A collection of product images and metadata stored per brand workspace.
- Review
- The process of evaluating a generated video. Reviewers can add timestamped comments.
- Role
- A permission level assigned to team members per brand: Manager, Editor, Viewer, or Client Reviewer. Organization-level roles are Owner, Admin, and Member.

- Scene
- A segment of a video script with its own visual description, speaker, dialogue, and duration.
- Share Link
- A public URL for sharing a video with external reviewers or clients without requiring login.
- Top-Up Pack
- A one-time credit purchase for additional generation credits beyond your subscription allocation.

- scriptmotion's 5-step guided process for creating AI videos. The core differentiator of the platform.
